BNHV's Americana Days earlier in July featured a rather special activity this year, the School of the Civil War Soldier. The program was run by the 34th North Carolina Reenactment Group. There were about twelve young "soldiers" who spent the day learning what it was like to live a day in the life of a Civil War Soldier. All of the recruits seemed to have a great time and particularly enjoyed the skirmish at the end of the day! A special thanks to Tom Bowers and all the wonderful volunteer Civil War reenactors who helped make this program a success! These are some of our favorite photos from the program...Stay tuned for this program to be on next year's list of events at BNHV!
